Midsummer, no swap

Jun 20, 2012

Today is the longest day of the year (or the shortest, if you’re on the southern half of our planet). However, again no swap stories this year… However, if you’re in the mood, there are still some unfulfilled requests.

Because the fandom is slowing down, and the summer season is always slower to being with, we decided last year not to run our Midsummer Swap like we had done the previous iforgethowmany years. We ran a Midwinter Swap last fall, but reached the same conclusion as we did last year when it comes to the summer edition.

However, if you’re in the mood to read some great stories, you’ll find all the Swap stories from previous runs here.

And if you’re in the mood to write something — there are still some unfulfilled requests from previous swaps. See this page for details.

Oh no. Just popped in ot see what’s up for the Swap, and here we are.
Slowing down? This just won’t do. I’d been away for a while courtesy of workload etc. but will be on my way to make my humble contribution to keeping things at a good pace :)

December! Great to hear from you! Thanks for contributing — I don’t know what we’d do without you!

Sorry, I just won’t accept that this fandom is slowing down (and not only because I’m still working on a multi-chaptered Faramir/Aragorn story that I definitely will need readers for once it’s finally done – in like 10 years ;)). This past year has been too much work for me and I’m so far behind on reading and commenting it’s painful, but no. Faramir-centred fiction will, in one way or another, live forever! There will be no telling me otherwise ;)

And again, much love to you, Iris and Minx, for the existence of this wonderful archive.
