Subscribe to Comments; Author Feeds; Slidy Menu and Pictures by Subject
Update: Subscribing to comment replies has been discontinued due to lack of interest. If you want to follow the comments on one particular story, you can subscribe to its comments feed
If you leave a comment on a story or artwork, the author or artist can respond in two ways: either privately by sending you an email, or publicly, by posting another comment.
Authors have always received email notification of new comments on their work. However, those posting comments had to rely on either the comments feed or simply checking back after a few days.
Now it’s also possible for commenters to receive email notification of new comments. Just tick the ‘Subscribe’ box when you post your comment, and of course make sure the email address you use is valid. There will be a link to unsubscribe again in every email you receive.
Mind that we’re just testing this feature for now: we do not yet know how much strain it will put on the system, and, since we don’t require visiters to register before they can comment, it’s another opportunity for a lot of spam to get sent using our server… As always, if you have any problems, let us know. We’re at admin@faramirfiction.com.

And in other news: we’ve made a small addition to our arsenal of feeds. You’ll now also be able to subscribe to all updates of one author only. See our page on feeds for details.
More news: Noticed our new sliding menu? Now you don’t have to click through an unnecessary extra page if you want to go to a submenu item.
And from now on, the pictures are also listed by subject, similarly to how fiction is listed by pairing.
