History Rewritten (PG) Print

Written by Fawsley

22 December 2006 | 100 words

The lore scrolls say my brother died, but it is not so.

How long did I grieve before I knew the truth?

How long did I wander lost and bereft, my life meaningless without him?

How long before I realised that he lived?

A morning’s horseback ride, sun rising above a thin cold mist. A new day seen by fresh eyes and my darkness fled away.

I see now as he would see, taste as he would taste, love as he would love. My senses are his. We are one.

I rewrite his history, for he lives in my soul.
